Description

Registration has reopened and will close on March 11th at 11:59 PM

This is for purchasing one Twin XL bed in a double room for two nights. If students would like to stay onsite, they can do so for FREE, but MUST let us know in the Post-Registration Google Form!!!

Depending on how many people opt for onsite housing at H.J. Andrews, you may be sharing a room with another person. If you have a strong preference for sharing or having a room to yourself, please be sure to fill out the Google Form you are sent after registering!

How To Get to the H.J. Andrews Headquarters

Please DO NOT simply type “H.J. Andrews Experimental Forest” into Google Maps, you may end up in the middle of the forest with no service! See the map at this link for reference on how to get to the facility from McKenzie Bridge on Highway 126. The H.J. Andrews Website also has written directions on how to get there from Eugene, Bend, and Portland.

Please be aware that there is limited to no cell service onsite at the H.J. Andrews. Free wifi will be available once at the facility.

Amenities

Here are some items we suggest bringing if staying onsite:

  • Sleeping bag
  • Sleeping pad
  • Small blanket
  • Pillow
  • Personal toiletries
  • Headlamp (for walking around outside after dark; the stars out at the HJA are spectacular on a clear night!)

The apartments at the H.J. Andrews are much like a rental cabin. They are fully furnished, have electricity, and even Wi-Fi, but some of the additional amenities you might find in a typical hotel (pillows, shampoos, toothpaste, lotions, etc.) are not provided. More information about the facilities can be found here.

While the H.J. Andrews staff can provide linens for your stay at an additional cost, we have found it easiest in the past to bring a sleeping bag and/or sleeping pad to add to the twin XL bed for comfort. Each unit is furnished, has an electric stove with an oven, electric heating in each room, a shower (if handicap accessibility is needed please let us know).
